Quai D’Orsay Panatelas

Cigar Mission #37

My name is Agent 15. My mission was to review Quai D’Orsay Panatelas. As leader of The Cigar Spy agency I promise to respect the A.S.H.E.S. code of honor. This is my cigar mission report.

Target Name:

Quai D’Orsay Panatela

Target Vitals:

Wrapper: Cuba

Binder: Cuba

Filler: Cuba

Vitola: Ninfa

Year: 2008

Background Info:

The Qd’O is a Cuban usually recommended for new smokers. It’s known to be Mild-to-Medium in body with a smooth flavor profile, perfect for beginners.

Mission Notes:

As you can see from the picture, the sun is getting ready to go to sleep and I am getting ready for my cigar. In other words, this night is starting out perfect. It’s very rare that I smoke in the morning or even the afternoon, unless I am with friends or in some kind of party. There’s just something very beautiful about the night and the smoke of my cigar.

Let’s get started.

Right off the bat, I love the size of this cigar. It’s like a baby brother to a Lancero vitola. The factory name of this vitola is “Ninfa.” No, not “Ninja”, but “Ninfa.” Speaking of “Ninfa’s”, another good one is the Trinidad Ninfa’s, but we’ll save that for another review. And speaking of “Ninja’s” remember that kick ass movie 3 Little Ninjas?

From the first puffs, I am getting lots of creamy coffee and a white pepper finish. (I like this a lot) I know its not for everyone, but that creamy flavor is really making me like this cigar. It’s like eating a gummy bear after each puff. (yes that sounds delicious!) Moving along, the flavor profile doesn’t change much, its very consistent with a creamy flavor profile.

Okay, so this is where this cigar shines, the aroma. The aroma in this cigar is out of this world. Honestly (and here is where you make fun of me) it smells like pie or cake coming out of the oven! I know that sounds funny, but it really does and it works so well. This will definitely hypnotize the neighbors and make them forget why they hate you so much.

Final Statement:

The reputation and “stereotype” of this cigar is on point. I would definitely gift this cigar to someone who wants to explore our world of cigars or even to someone who wants to get a taste of Cuba for a bargain.
